Allstate Insurance: Payments and Payables Processing

This site tour will provide a first-hand look at Allstate's remittance processing and accounts payable processing operations. See how Allstate processes 1.2 million remittances per year. Allstate uses J&B Software and OPEX 150s, OPEX 50s and NCR 7780s to facilitate its mail opening, imaging and processing. In the AP department, you'll get an overview of the company's automated invoice processing system.

Allstate uses Kofax Capture software and IBML IT4 / IT3 hardware to facilitate its processing of more than 30 million documents per year.

The First American Corporation

The First American Corporation is America's largest provider of business information. First American combines advanced analytics with its vast data resources to supply businesses and consumers with valuable information products to support the major economic events of people's lives, such as getting a job, renting an apartment, buying a car or house, securing a mortgage, and opening or buying a business. This site tour will provide a first-hand look at how First American processes two million real estate tax bills per year on ibml high speed scanners. The company is able to process 10,000 different form types and use a 12-pocket configuration for sorting, and to process 1.5 million checks per year, which are sorted and matched with the documents.

BancTec BPO Center

Visitors to the BPO center will see the preparation, scanning, and quality control functions of a state-of-the-art document management facility. In addition to seeing BancTec's technology at work real-time, visitors will also note the functional layout of the center to create optimum workflow efficiencies beginning with receipt of the documents all the way through the destruction phase. The BPO project team approach is reflected in this layout to ensure proper segregation of sensitive documents as well as to engender an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation. This also allows team members to be more easily cross-trained to respond to fluctuations in workload. Processing services at this facility include document image and archive, electronic medical records processing, AP processing, inbound mail services, and microfilm and microfiche services.
