Forms Processing & Image Capture Study

The Association for Work Process Improvement (TAWPI) has organized a second Forms Processing and Data Capture Study conducted for the benefit of TAWPI’s membership, fortune 1000 corporations, and solutions providers.

The 2006 Study will builds on TAWPI’s first Forms Processing Study that was published in 2000 and read by more than 1,000 industry professionals. The Study provides a comprehensive assessment of forms processing, data capture and document capture systems, operations and trends.

TAWPI engaged Harvey Spencer Associates to collect the form data and provide an analysis of the results. The published report provides a comprehensive assessment of forms processing, data capture and document capture systems, operations and trends through a survey of hundreds of operations that are performing form processing and data capture. The study will help organizations understand emerging capture issues and help you plan a new installation, upgrade your existing equipment or just see how you’re doing compared to other capture operations.

Topics in the study include:
* Types and volumes of form and data captured
* Productivity rates and staffing levels
* Software and hardware technologies being utilized
* Distributed vs. centralized capture strategies
* Form processing and data capture costs
* Comparison of results with the 1999 Study findings.

The final report includes detailed findings for each survey question as well as an executive summary.
