Process Automation Publications

As American businesses and industries face the ever-increasing need to improve quality and productivity, there’s a strong demand on operations managers to reduce costs, eliminate waste, and streamline processes. By offering a range of educational content and conference sessions, TAWPI works with its members to help the improve their work processes and strengthen the competitive position of their company.

The heart of the TAWPI acronym is Work Process Improvement. For the Association, this has been largely applied to document process automation and data entry. However, as software systems have evolved and become more intertwined, TAWPI members have embraced more far-reaching applications of process improvement. This includes:

  • Work Process Improvement: Best practices, efficiency expertise and labor reduction techniques as they apply to workflows, manufacturing, and any document process automation.
  • Business Process Improvement: More specifically applicable to a structured business process, such as how an invoice is received, paid and recorded.
  • Business Process Outsourcing: The selective sub-contracting of a portion of a business process. This may involve completely delegating to an outside contractor or service bureau, or may be simply re-assigning a work process to another internal department. (Note that outsourcing need not refer to off-shore contracting).

TAWPI can provide you with the latest tools, software, techniques, and strategies for capturing information, processing transactions, and distributing work processes throughout the enterprise.
