It is with great sadness that the TAWPI Southwest Chapter announces that our current president, Dean Flick, passed away on Sunday, July 6. Dean is survived by his wife Kerri Flick, sons, Dallas Zachary Flick and Addison Sage Flick, both of Aubrey, TX, and parents, Jack and Frieda Flick of Baltimore, MD. Dean was 46 years old. Dean had been a longtime active member of the remittance community, having worked in sales for many years with BancTec. Just recently, Dean had branched out with his own company VendorSupportConsulting.com. Funeral Information - Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Slay Memorial Funeral Center in Aubrey, TX. 940-365-7529. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 10:00AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point, TX. PLEASE NOTE: The TAWPI Southwest Chapter meeting and Verizon site visit which was scheduled personally by Dean has been postponed in order to allow the TAWPI Board of Directors and Dean’s many other friends and colleagues to attend the funeral.

Bringing in industry numbers from major participants Viewpointe provided a perspective on the pace of advancement and provide a preview as to what is looming on the horizon for financial institutions in terms of payments and payment innovation. Speaker was Jennifer Lucas from Viewpointe February 16, 2006 Comerica Service Center in Dallas. A site tour of the Remittance Processing Department was a part of the agenda after a presentation of the justification and integration of the 3600i/Opex 51 equipment at Comerica Bank.
